- The group will be divided in to five teams who will be given one of the key catalysts of modern decolonisation. Each team will need to research and develop a five minute presentation of why their catalyst was the most important.
- The great slump 1929-1933
- The collapse of the nation state in Europe and the rise of Nationalism in colonial countries.
- WW1 - destroyed the Ottoman and German Empires
- Indian revolutionary years
- Collapse of the British Empire due to WW2, World War II as the Trigger for Decolonisation
2. Now you have listened to the different catalysts decide which one you thought was the most important and write 500 words of
extended prose explaining why. Remember you should have a beginning, middle and an end even if the word limit is short.
