Greenpeace is a civil society group who have become increasingly influential in passing on their 'green' focused ideas. But who are they and how have has their image changed? Answer the following questions using the youtube clip below the questions:

1. Who is GreenPeace?
2. When did they first develop?
3. What is their goal?
4. How have they increased their profile over the years? What are their victories?
5. How have they achieved the transition from hippies to lobbyists?

Activity Three - Greenpeace - Transboundary Pollution

Now it is time to link the Chernobyl Incident to Greenpeace. Greenpeace has a lot to say about the use of nuclear energy in society and as you have now learnt they are becoming increasingly influential. Answer the two questions below to show your knowledge of how Greenpeace has reacted to the use of nuclear energy and specifically the Chernobyl explosion.
