Activity One - Watch

We will be focusing on New York, USA as our case study to illustrate the causes of inequalities within a specific area. We will be using the USA as it is one of our focus countries.

  1. From your personal knowledge mind map the causes of disparities in New York. Write your answers on A3 paper using different colours for each cause. Try and suggest how ethnicity, residence, parental education, income, employment and land ownership may cause disparities.
  2. Watch the Youtube video below - it is long but outlines nicely the causes of disparities. As you watch it add notes to your initial mind map
