This Geographic Theme investigates freshwater as a system, along with the processes of erosion and deposition and the subsequent landforms that are created. It explores the idea of flooding and how we can monitor the discharge of water within the river basin. Why some regions of the world suffer from water insecurity and the need to preserve this precious resources is also investigated.
This unit is important to us as although there is an abundance of water within Switzerland it still needs to be utilised in a sustainable manner. We will also use the learning in this unit to form the basis for the Internal Assessment.
