Extreme Environments

This is an optional theme for the IBO DP Geography course and it focuses on two different kinds of extreme environments; cold and high-altitude environments and hot, arid environments. It investigates key landscape characteristics, the processes needed to create those landscapes as well as the opportunities and challenges posed to humans who seek to manage them.
