Activity One - Weathering

  1. Define the words weathering and erosion using either the internet, dictionary or page 76 ad 78 of the 'Geog 1' text book.
  2. Watch the clip and make notes (with diagrams) in the table on how weathering and erosion occurs. The resources below will also help you to fill in the table.

  3. You will be divided in to four groups. Each group will be asked to complete a short role play to show how the different elements of weathering can occur.
  4. As each group presents add more detail to the notes written from the clip.

  1. What is abrasion?
  2. Describe the process of attrition.
  3. How does hydraulic action occur?
  4. What is corrosion? (reading about solution will help with this question)

Activity Three - Transportation

River Transportation
